Independence

Our recommendations are ours. Brands cannot buy a ranking, a review, or a spot on a list, and we accept no sponsored placements and no free products in exchange for coverage. We earn affiliate commissions (see our affiliate disclosure), but a commission never changes a verdict — when the cheaper bag is the better buy, we say so and link to it.

How picks are chosen

Every roundup follows the same method, described in full on our how we research and rank page: we build a longlist of currently-sold products, compile their published specs, check dimensions against airline sizers, run the cost-per-trip and weight-to-capacity math, read aggregated owner reviews, and score against a published rubric whose sub-scores we show on every card. Order reflects those scores, not who pays.

No fabrication

We do not invent specs, prices, ratings, or test results. Prices come only from a live data feed and are date-stamped; when a number cannot be verified, we show "Check price" rather than a guess. Specifications come from the manufacturer's own listing, and airline rules from the carrier's official policy page. We do not run a testing lab and we never claim to. We do not publish self-authored star ratings in our structured data, because we have no customer reviews to aggregate.

Honesty on every page

Every product we recommend carries a "don't buy this if" line, and every roundup names at least one pick to skip. We would rather lose a sale than recommend the wrong bag for you.

Corrections and updates

We review flagship roundups at least quarterly and re-check the airline-size guides on the same cadence. Every page shows a visible last-updated date. If you spot a factual error — a wrong dimension, an outdated policy, a price that looks off — email us at info@suiteandsand.com or use our contact form, and we will correct material errors within 48 hours and note the change on the page.
